Interm Plan
Short-term support to address immediate needs, which may include strategies involving regulated restrictive practices where necessary, with a focus on quick reduction.
Comprehensive Plan
In-depth plans that include a thorough Functional Behaviour Assessment to identify triggers and needs, followed by customised, evidence-based strategies.
In-depth Review
Assessment of current plans, with additional consultation involving the participant and their support circle to refine, strengthen and improve outcomes.
Implementation
Hands-on coaching and training for carers, family members, and support staff to ensure effective and successful rollout of the plan in everyday life.
Positive Behaviour Support
At Acropora Behaviour Support, we view behaviours as a way people communicate unmet needs. Positive Behaviour Support is an evidence-based, person-centred approach that seeks to understand the root causes of behaviours of concern. By focusing on building skills, creating supportive environments, and promoting positive alternatives, we help NDIS participants achieve greater independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Inspired by resilience and adaptive strength of Acropora, our approach emphasises growth, compassion, and empowerment. We are guided by core values of choice, participation, dignity, and equality. Working closely one-on-one with each participant and their support network (family, carers, friends and services), we develop fully tailored strategies that respect individuality whilst minimising and or eliminating the need for restrictive practices. Our goal is to foster lasting positive change through ongoing, supportive collaboration.
Eligibility and Pricing
NDIS Participants — Eligible individuals can use their NDIS plan funding for these services.
Non-NDIS Individuals — We also offer fee-for-service options, with pricing aligned to current NDIS rates for fairness and transparency.
Our rates follow the latest NDIS Price Guide (updated annually). Examples include:
Specialist Behavioural Intervention Support (e.g., intensive interventions and plan development): Approximately $244/hr (exact rates on enquiry).
Behaviour Management Training for carers and supports: Approximately $244/hr.
